Bling Bling... Bling!

02-07-2026

When restoring a car from A to Z you need to work on several things at the same time, just to keep the flow going, if you´re not, you will reach a dead-end sometime sooner, and the waiting time to get the parts ready, can be quite long and the whole process stops...

With the car at the paintshop, the focus are on the trimparts and there are a lot of trimparts that needs attention.

There are 3 elements, aluminum, stainless-steel and pot-metal.

The aluminum and the stainless-steel are polished and the pot-metal parts are re-chromed.

The front grill are jig-saw puzzle of several parts, that needs to carefully be taken appart, polished and then but back together in the right order (Numbered from the factory) before installed in the large lip. the LANCIA emblem are chromed and will have a light blue paint added to the flag.

The moulding that will cover the side of the doors and the sills, are also being polished and are one of the last things being installed, because of the risk of scrathes..

The window frames are made in stainless-steel, and are very similar to what you would find on the Maseratti 3500 GT, they also been polished to a mirror finish.

Doorsill plates and upper frame moulding... The amount of bling are insane...

The leafsprings has been completly stripped, heated and re-sprunged before being put back together with the correct rubber seals between each blade and of corse new end bushings

I hope my next blog post will show the car in the chosen color...
