Prepping the car for paint are a very time consuming process that involves a whole lot of stages before the first coat of the real paint takes place.

It has been a while since my last update, but with Alain Delogne back in the shop the work on the car will pick up pace to catch up with the time lost.

Where the progress on the car in Portugal are very slow, are the work on the engine allmost done.

Things in Lancia land are going slowly, specially the work on the body, because of some serious health problems the owner of Herritage 57 had to set the work on hold as he needs to be there and supervise the guys in the workshop, so hopefully they will be back on track by the end of March and give it full speed ahead....

At the engine shop progress are made and just take a look at those rockerarms and the pushrods.. What a seight.

Christmas morning has this calmnes that are very subtile from the day before, it´s like the whole world stops for a second and inhale...

It´s litteraly like Christmas everytime I receive the weekly update from the workshop.

The bodywork and chassis are now ready to be put on the rottisere and from there the work begins, cutting out the rotten parts and replace them with new metal and aluminum.

At this stage the body has been cleaned and applied a coat of epoxy primer to protect and prevent surface corrosion when working on those arreas that need some attention.
