Engine spa & bath...

When I bought the car, I was aware of the fact that the engine was seized and no one knew if was safeable?

We could see that there where some signs of the engine was seized of that simple reason, that it had not been turned over in more than 40 years.

So, it was with some nerves that the engine, was put in a bath with diesel, trying to loosen up things up.

It was left in the bath and spa for a weekend, and it seems that 48 hours in esteric oils did the trick, both heads came off with no drama, same did the intake manifold.

Now it was visible, that the pistons was stuck in the liners due to rust, just like I had expected from the start (Read: hoped for) That makes it a lot easier to rebuild the engine as we, if possible only have to hone the liners and put in new pistons.

That said, the crank need to be polished and balanced, as the rest of the parts also need a firm check over before put back together.
