How it all began?

I have attended my fair share of classic car fairs around Europe, and the last 2 years I have noticed examples of the Flaminia by Touring on the sales stands, and I just thought of it as a really beatyfull Gentlemans GT, but when you´r not in the market for such car, it just passes you..

Not knowing much about them, I started to learn about them from time to time.. My first experience with theese models where in a ROAD RAT magazine, and it absolute blew me away.

It was a late evening, when I restless scrolled through various car sites, and this picture showed up on Mobile.de, the price where, should we call it, suspecious low, but "who never dares" I send the seller an e-mail, not thinking it would be replied, but it did... "Can you call me in the morning, around 10 AM"?

So I did..

What do we know about the car?

The car is an very early 1964, starting with chassis number 1101, mine says 1109, It was first registred on the 2. July 1965 to a Mr. Gilbert Bigler, Puplinge, Switzerland, He owned the car for 10 years before it was taken of the roads in November 1979.

In 1985 it was sold from Garage du Pont Neuf, Mr. Pierre Schluchter to a Mr. Anton King, who brings the car to France.

The paperwork shows it has been declared through the Frech Customs and duties where paid.

And there are no documents showing if the car was ever registred in France, we therefor assume that the car was put away in 1985 and first taken out of the garage in the summer of 2024
