First step...

The waiting time are slowly starting to itch, but I decided to spend that time a bit more progressiv and trying to restore those parts that seems easy to work on, and some of them are not, but they will be send out of town and into the skilled hands of those who knows..

I took af the carburettors, those "trompets from Bologna" are so cool, sorry to see them hidden away inside the airbox, when they are rebuild again.

Them out of the way, there where plenty of room to undo the water pump.

What have supprised me until now are how easy all the bolts come off? and even better, there are actually antifreeze in the system, that means there are a fair chance that the water channels in the engineblock are not clogged!

With the water pump seperated from the engine, I could take it all appart..

Now, I have a Aquanife, that blast with water and glass particles at 10 to 11 bar and it does not destroy the casting, it simply clean it up and leaves a silk smooth surface.

A rebuild kit, including new bearings, and the water pump are up for another 40 years of solid work..

The next thing I want to work on, are the brake master cylindre, It might still work, but better safe than sorry!

Then I have a plan to restore the brake discs and the brake cylinders...
