Going to Portugal...
It has been a while since my last update, but with Alain Delogne back in the shop the work on the car will pick up pace to catch up with the time lost.
Even if Mr. Delogne was not pressent in the workshop does´nt mean there are no work done.
You have to remember there are lots of pieces that needs attention it´s not all about the bodywork.
Speaking of bits and pieces, here comes a little catch-up
The front subframe needed a new battery tray, with the correct fasteners.

The gearbox was taken appart, just to make sure that it was ok, and no supprises occured during that process, it was cleaned and put together with the correct copper plated bolts.

To replicate the correct surface on the paint underside the body and in the enginecompartment, we needed some different options, the final product we chosed was from Roberlo and are very close to factory original.

The underside of the body and the engine compartment are also applied and boy does it look good.

Inside and between panels there are applied liquid wax to prevent any rustissues ahead, still it´s allready preserved 100% better than it was back in 1964

Lots of pieces are being prepared

The iconic front grill are temperally in place just to make sure it lines up evenly, most of the brightwork will be put on off during the work on the body.

Colorsamples on the exterior color are also done, that of corse needed to be seen in daylight to have a clear vision.

I will of corse take a ton of photos when i visit the shop in mid-April, so stay tuned...
