Originality...
When I first layed eyes on my car, I was very tempted to leave the sunbleeched paintwork as it where and just restore all the mechanics.
But I decided to have everything restored, and with that also make change of the original color!
I find the original color extremely dull and looking at other cars from that area much more vibrant and ecxiting and it was pretty easy to decide what color I would go with.
Verde Tevere, original a color from the Maseratti palette and it suits the Touring body really nice.
Here it´s pressented on a 250 GT SWB, but you get the idea..

Original the carpets where black Wilton Wool carperts and the seats where covered in Conolly Vaumol black leather..
But the sun had dried out the leather and bleeched the carpet, so the seats needs to be covered in new Conolly leather and the carpets will be in Wilton but instead of the original black color, they will be in the color Cinamon
Now, I know some Lancia´istas will rotate, but I will use my ownership to make the car just like I visualise it, and I know the choice of colors, both outside and inside will work... No let me refraise that, it will make this car stand out!
Don´t get me wrong I´m very much into originality and I like my cars to be so correct as possible, but I also like to challenge the origins with ideas that could have worked at the time the car was produced back in 1964. Infact both Masserati GT3500 and the Alfa Romeo 2900 where made side by side with the GTL at the factory plant i Milan, and both of those marques where made in much more lively colors, even the Zagato Sport could be ordered in other colors in a palette of greys, So I had no second thoughts once I had decided.
