Ready for another 60 years...

Some of the most iconic features on a Flaminia GT/GTL other than the Superleggera body are the instruments and switch gear.
Those big dials with sub-dials, reversed numbers all packed in chrome, are a such a pleasure to look at and I cannot wait to see them light up for the first time..
The swithces has also undergone a tranformation, and like the dials they look stunning...
The ignition switch were burned inside and where restored and a second set of keys where made for it.

It´s important to notice, that neither the gauges or the switches where in a bad condition, but they sat to for more than 40 years and needed some attention to make sure they work like supposed to.
More critical was the carburettors, the original Webers where showing signs of not being used and the needed a more substancial amount of work, including honing the inner liners, new butterflies, shafts etc.

But they came out in same shape like the gauges, and are like the rest, ready for another round.
The Fiamm Roadmaster compressor horns where another story, allways been a huge fan of those early aluminum horns, with there deep red color and the compressor with the black wrinkle paint on top of the cylinderhead.

The compressor where seized up, the lack of regular loob with oil made the 3 sling plates get stuck, the horns where filled up wirth dirt, properbly because of some insects has used the horns for a home?
But they where easily taken appart, once again my aquablaster came in very handy and within a couple of days, the compressor, horns and tone-houses where restored, looking like new.
