Slowly, but surely...

Where the progress on the car in Portugal are very slow, are the work on the engine allmost done.

This morning I received a handfull of fresh pictures from the shop in Turin, with my engine installed in the testbench, I could not be happier and I´m looking so much forward to see some video and hear some sound when they start the engine and bed it in.

I think with a little bit of luck the engine will be running by the end of this week.. Fingers crossed.

So what is going on in the shop in Portugal..?

The work on the body are on hold as Mr. Delogne the owner of the workshop are in Belgium due to some medical treatment and while he is recover ( And he is doing well, he told me) the workshop are focused on all the small parts, seats, chromework etc.

I have planned to visit him in the middle of April, where we will discuss the work, any issues and what we have to do to get the car ready, I´m really looking forward to this meeting with Mr. Delogne and to see him face to face as until now our communication has been on WhatsApp and e-mail.

I got the original airfilter-box on my shelf and like any other part of the car it needed some TLC, so once again my trusted Aquanife came in handy, and the metal was soon ready for primer, paint and clearcoat.

I was very carefull not to destroy the original factory stamp on the cover to the airfilter, and it all came out pretty nice

I need some parts for the side mirror, and I hope I´ll get them soon enough for me to get it ready, and bring it with me on my visit to Portugal...
