Wild turkey chase...

2025-06-16

The engine that was send to Turin around a month ago are at still stand, the reason why is the upcoming Mille Miglia 2025 where some latecomers has been i a hurry to get their cars ready for this great event, so my 2.8 must wait for this rush are over, but then they will start to restore it.

In the meanwhile, I have had some trouble finding a workshop who can help med restore the chassis, bodywork, paint and interiore... And that are harder than one would think.

I the first shop that I chosed, was rejected because of mistrust.. The second was rejected because of different opinions on the financial aspect, where the working part more or less wanted a "blanco check", the third was bailing out because of the lack of selfconfidence... So in other words, a wild turkey chase...

But!

It seems like I have some sort of aggreement with a workshop in Portugal, the numbers they send me are acceptable, but there are still some details that needed to be discused and settlet before I will push on the GO button, but I´m pretty confident that we are going to meet each other.

The long distance are not optimal, but I will put in 2-3 trips to the workshop just to make sure that the work are done properly... I´ve been scammed before, trusting people I thought where friends, so I´ve learned my leassons the most painfull ways...

Meanwhile, striping the paint of the car continues on/off as I have time..
