Work in progress...

Allmost one month ago, the engine where send of to a workshop just outside Turin in Italy, where skilled experts in Lancia engines will restore and rebuild it.

Due to "last minut" orders due to this year Mille Miglia, my engine was on hold.

For the last week, the workshop has begun the task of rebuilding, starting with the dismantling and cleaning, before the serious work with meassuring all the parts begin.

The car and therefor also the engine has been sitting for more than 4 decades, so I must calculate with some expenses regarding new internal parts?

Just by the look of the photos the workshop has send me, it allready looks much better, and I´m very happy with my choice, sending it to a skilled and responsble shop.

In the following weeks, I will be informed about the state of the internal parts and how they going to aproach the task of getting this engine back in the same shape as it was from new...

I cannot wait to follow this one...

Now I just need the confirmation from the company that´s going to transport my car from Denmark to Portugal?
