Only a few days ago I received photos of the doors with signs of rust and pitting, mainly in the lower part of the steel construction, a quite common place where water gets trapped, combined with no or poor rustprotection it will slowly but surely starts to rot away.
The restoration of the body and chassis are, despite the set back at the previous workshop in pretty good progress.
In every major restoration there are countless hours of preperation of parts, and with that another set of countless hours of giving those parts the finishing touch and get it ready for the reasembly.

The calender says mid October and we are heading with warp speed ahead to a new year.
The holliday season at the workshop are near, but the guys are cracking on until then.
The workshop has their hands full and a lot of work to do before they going on a well earned 5 week holliday.
With the car safely delivered at Alain´s workshop outside Porto, I can concentrate on some other things.
Things suddently accelerated and as the car was picked up at my garage by the start of the week, it was divered at the workshop Thursday afternoon same week, so a 3 day journey from Denmark to Portugal.. That´s not bad.
